Defarms is a Startup fish farm that is duly registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) in Nigeria. We have a large fish farming capacity. We rear Clarias gariepinus which is the African catfish from fingerlings to table sizes. Our goal is to grow, expand and export across Africa.

Meet the CEO;

Olufunbi Akinyosoye, a graduate of Marine Biology of the University of Lagos is also an alumni scholar and certified entrepreneur of the prestigious Enterprise Development Centre of the Lagos Business School ( which is under a World Bank initiative and UK affiliate ParkRoyal Finishing School). With over 20 years in the event industry, her passion and dogged determination for improving and contributing her quota to the growth of the event sector and industry as a whole is immeasurable.

Olufunbi has undergone several courses like the IMEX Conference at Las Vegas, Project management courses in the UK and Customer Service and Human Relations training within and outside the shores of this country. In addition, Funbi has been trained by Tara Fela Durotoye Series (TFD), Bankole Williams Career Bootcamp, Poize Insider Network (PIN), Fate Foundation, Coach Steve Harris, Enterprise Development Center and Women in Business (WIMBIZ). All this she has done in the furtherance of knowledge which she has impacted into over 300 entrepreneurs and new entrants into the event industry through her training school where she still coaches and mentors many. Having received so many awards like the Exquisite Lady Of the Year (ELOY) Awards for the Event Company of the Year, Honors roll of Passion & Poise, Entrepreneur Amazon of the year and other Role model awards, her quest for excellent performance in every sphere of life is limitless.

Asides from her keen interest in the event industry, Funbi has also veered into aquatic agriculture recently.

She's also called to do humanitarian works like the positive impact on the Ijora Badiya feed 5,000 projects she handled in conjunction with Restructure Africa which she is on their board. Olufunbi is also on the Founding Advisory Board for Feed a Mouth Initiative, an NGO. She is on the board of directors of the Association of Professional Party Planners & Event Managers of Nigeria (APPOEMN) and looks forward to serving better as Vice President.
